Thanks for an amazing night of Telling Stories 9/28/12 at the Rotunda in Philadelphia

Our sincere thanks to all of our amazing storytellers for making the second Telling Stories spoken word event just as powerful, funny and moving as the first.
The lineup for Friday, September 28th at the Rotunda in Philadelphia included: a touching family story from Laura Sukonick (pictured); two uplifting and intense poems from the great John Frisby; a triumphant and hilarious Special Olympics tale from comedian Jess Carpenter; sly and clever tips for living with a psychologist from Carol Anne Mueller; a witty and warm life-in-five-minutes epic from comedian Alejandro Morales; and a seriocomic yarn about small town living and video games from your humble emcee, Michael Broussard.
Thanks also go out to: filmmaker Christian Strevy for allowing us to show his Philly-made mockumentary “Bonus Features”; the always wonderful and supportive Gina Renzi, for giving us a space for these events, running lights, and running around taking care of every little thing before the event; to our fabulous sound tech Tariq Shabazz; and most of all to our wonderful audience, for being so welcoming, enthusiastic and responsive to each and every performer.
See y’all at the next show!
