Kneehigh Spunk – Vocal Group

“Kneehigh Spunk” is a band of four great, young friends who enjoy each other’s company and sharing in a celebration of life, laughter and music. These talented Cherry Hill, N.J. buddies have been serving up their unique sound and creative vocal arrangements at a variety of local events, benefits, coffee houses, showcases and talent shows since they first started singing together as highschool students in 2009. Their irresistibly happy and upbeat harmonies have made them a popular local favorite and brought them several awards.
In April 2010, “Kneehigh Spunk” was awarded First Prize at the regional Cherry Hill Talent Show from among dozens of competing acts by a professional judges panel, impressed with their complex, stylish “mash-ups” of some great old songs, new “classics” and “feel good” kind of music. In May 2010, the boys were invited to perform on Channel 10/NBC Philadelphia’s “The 10! Show”. In September 2010, “Kneehigh Spunk” was prominently featured in South Jersey Magazine after readers voted them in as “South Jersey’s Top Talent”. The boys were then asked to kickoff the “Collingswood 2nd Saturday” September 2010 festivities with a live, extended performance.
“Kneehigh Spunk” is scheduled to perform as the opening act for the internationally famous musical comedian Michel Lauziere at the popular New Year’s Eve gala, “Haddonfield First Night 2011″. They will also be appearing in January 2011 in the live variety show, “The Five Minute Follies” in Philadelphia.
In addition to their “mash-ups” and covers, “Kneehigh Spunk” original music is an intriguing fusion of Oldies, Modern Pop, and Jazz influences – think Beach Boys mixed with Jason Mraz and Elvis Costello.
